P.U.L.S.E (Youth Ministry)

P.U.L.S.E. Youth Ministry implements (P)rayer and worship, (U)nity through community life, (L)eadership development, (S)ervice and justice and (E)vangelization.  These are five of the eight components of youth ministry that the Bishop’s set forth in “Renewing the Vision”.  The other three components are Pastoral Care, Advocacy and Catechesis.  In implementing PULSE, a director would need to make sure Catechesis is not neglected (Link to Liturgy Religious Education and Gift of Strength Confirmation Prepartation is recommended).  A director must also work with the pastor (pastoral care) and the families and community (advocacy) in meeting the needs of the youth.  This section of the website includes ideas for implementing a holistic youth ministry program complementing Link to Liturgy.  The articles with ideas will be updated regularly and Link to Liturgy subscribers are welcome to contribute to this LIVE resource.
